Amur Sturgeon Caviar, 50g

Amur Sturgeon Caviar shimmers with all kinds of hues from gold chestnut to dark brown. Glossy, grainy Amur Sturgeon Caviar with tender but resilient caviar grains has a delicate aroma and a creamy, nutty, pleasantly bitter flavour. This delicacy is characterised by medium-sized grains with a diameter of 2 to 2.5 mm. Lightly salted caviar (MALOSSOL), only 35 grams per kg.

The Amur Sturgeon (Acipenser schrenckii) is very close to the Siberian sturgeon and also belongs to the sturgeon family species. The weight of an adult fish ranges from 20 to 50 kg. In the history of fishing in Russia, there is evidence of fish weighing up to 160 kg. Amur sturgeon females start spawning at the age of 11 to 14 years, but they do not spawn more than once every 4 years. That is why Amur sturgeon caviar is a rare and very valuable product. Caviar is served both as a stand-alone appetiser and on crackers, croutons or with pancakes. When planning cocktail parties in European countries, 1 ounce of caviar is charged per guest - that's about 30 grams of the product.

Caviar is served in a glass or porcelain bowl with a spoon made of the same material or mother-of-pearl-spoon. Chilled caviar tastes best, so the caviar dish should be placed on ice. The delicacy looks spectacular in combination with crisps or boiled quail egg halves.

Slight variations in the color and size of the roe are possible due to its natural origin.
